Rock Creek Church Road
Rock Creek Church Road was a project located in Washington, DC which consisted of converting an empty lot between two existing residential structures into a 5-unit multi-family condominium structure. Systematic Engineering was the structural engineering firm-of-record responsible for design of foundations, retaining walls, multi-level wood framing as well as underpinning of existing footings.
This project required underpinning of neighboring foundations along the property lines due to the depth of the new building. In additon, due to soft soils, helical piers were installed to support underpinned footings.
