Systematic Engineering is a structural engineering firm which provides Professional Engineering Services to issue project specific documents, with PE License approval, including specialized engineering solutions. Specialty areas include Structural Engineering Services, Engineering Consulting, Professional Engineering Services, Field Engineering, General Inspecting/Engineering as well as Structural Inspecting/Engineering.

Systematic Engineering is responsible for designing over 100 structures in the past three years in the Washington, DC area inclusive of podium structures, renovation of existing rowhouses, multi-family structures, single-family structures, shipping container structures, underpinning of existing structures as well as commercial structures.

Current projects include design of a 3-over-1, 4-story podium apartment structure located in Fredericksburg, VA with a total GFA of 44,000 square-feet as well as shoring of an existing two-story masonry structure located just adjacent to the 4-story podium structure. Furthermore, Systematic Engineering is expecting to be the structural engineering firm of record for a newly proposed 7-story multi-family structure to be located on V Street which will also include two levels of underground parking.

Systematic Engineering was started August 28, 2014 by Jesse Wastler, P.E., Principal – Structural Engineer. The firm is currently a two-person firm primarily focused on structural engineering

Matt Brown, S.E., a Licensed Structural Engineer in seven states. He has over 13 years of design experience and even longer experience in the preparation of construction drawings.

Brad has over 17 years in residential design & construction. Brad has been a licensed professional engineer for the past 10 years with experience in wood, steel and concrete design as well as forensic residential inspections.
